Obscenity court case resembles a conference sponsored by Anglican Mainstream

Anglican Mainstream report that Mr Peacock, of Finsbury Park, north London, has been declared not guilty in a recent obscenity trial. Peacock was charged after police sent an undercover officer to his house in January 2009 to buy the DVDs. The jury had to decide if the DVDs would deprave and corrupt any person likely to read, see or hear it.

Hey Larry... the article reports that the jury of men and women watched large amounts of gay films over several hours and although they were quite shocked initially, they started to look quite bored very quickly.

Sounds like a Lisa Nolland conference.

Anglican Mainstream promote Rick Santorum's irrational stance and verbal bullying tactics... when a young female student asks about marriage equality

Anglican Mainstream posts a video on its website and titles it Rick Santorum faces off with New Hampshire students on gay marriage. The video begins with the premise that 'Everyone has the right to marry'. Rick opposes this premise and offers the usual twisted fundamentalist thinking that he calls rational debate, by arguing that... If two men can get married then why not three men or five men... and when told by a young female student that the issue is the basic right of two people to marry, and not marriage rights for groups of three or five men, then Rick threatens to stop the debate and move on.

God... I love fundamentalism because it's just so random and illogical. I mean of course the marriage of two men will lead to group marriage...just like traditional marriage led to polyagmy in the US.

Oh you've got to feel sorry for Rick when he says that people call him a bigot
... because bigots like homosexuals suffer prejudice. And what about Rick's concern that marriage equality will undermine hate based faith principles!

New Hampshire's state legislature is swiftly moving to abolish gay marriage and could vote on the issue as soon as this Thursday. Since New Hampshire legalized marriage equality in 2009, more than 1,800 loving same-sex couples have been married. Polls show that a large majority of New Hampshire residents support that right -- 62%, according to a recent poll from the University of New Hampshire. Time is short -- click here right now to sign Craig's petition demanding that the New Hampshire legislature reject HB 437, the bill that would abolish marriage equality.

Phillip Jensen brings Australia Day to England!

Phillip Jensen is to miss the 2012 Australia Day Convention at St Andrew's Cathedral. This is where Phillip sets new records in all day preaching! Instead Phillip will still be chin wagging from 10am to 3pm in England!

So what happened to the mission at St Andrew's Cathedral?

It's impossible...the mystery man, John Chapman is unwell so there was a call for a change to the finale.

Lawyer states...Depressingly, my blog has been posted on an Anglican Mainstream site which also states that: LGBT education damages children.

Anglican Mainstream features an obscenity lawyer's blog, who is about to test obsenity laws in court. The lawyer twitters that he is depressed that his blog has been posted on Anglican Mainstream.

Listen Jed what's that 'obscene' lawyer whining about...everyone knows that those at Anglican Mainstream specialise in posting gay fisting, urolagnia and BDSM articles.
Yes Jethro...and where is that lovely female pet sexpert...Lisa Nolland ...because I saw a vet fisting a young filly the other day!

Anglican Mainstream uses sensationalism yet again...this time overlooking Usher's custody battle to focus on a custody battle involving lesbians

Anglican Mainstream is totally preoccupied with lesbian and gay relationships, and the site trawls the net looking for any way to demean lesbian and gay relationships. This time it has found a story about partnered lesbians who have now split up and are facing a custody battle over their child. Meanwhile pop star Usher is fighting with his wife over custoty of his TWO children ...and this story never even got a mention!

Isn't it typical of Anglican Mainstream to choose to belittle same-sex parents? I bet they'd report a custody battle if we were involved!

Well Elton what do you expect of a British Tabloid like Anglican Mainstream? There's nothing sensationalistic in reporting happy same-sex parents and their children.

"Jesus was offensive" says Anglican Mainstream ...and that's why Christian fundamentalists are offensive too!

Now Peter you know what Deuteronomy 22:13-21 says...

Anglican Mainstream posts a Muehlenberg article describing Jesus and the disciples as offensive, and stating that it's about time we used the gospel to be offensive too. The article focuses on a quote from John Piper's 'What Jesus Demands from the World', where he lists 50 things that Jesus has commanded. One of these is the need to speak the truth to others, even if it hurts and offends.
Piper claims...Love is not defined by the response of the loved. The Muhlberg article uses offensive Jesus' to verbally 'bash' gays and push the Exodus program.

What does John Piper say about judging others?

The Victorian Council of Churches speaks ...The Australian Christian Lobby does not represent all Australian Christians, nor all Christian viewpoints

The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) has come under fire from the Victorian Council of Churches (VCC) for misrepresenting the views of Australian Christians.
The Sydney Star Observer reports that the VCC expresses deep concern that media portrayal of Christian statements on same-sex marriage comes from the ACL, who base themselves on a fundamentally conservative view of Christian faith, and are not necessarily representative of the entire Christian Community. VCC general secretary Theo Mackaay said ...the VCC’s member churches held a diversity of views and therefore the VCC would never try to articulate a single position on the issue ...We don’t have a position on the issue of same-sex marriage.

An ACL spokeswoman denied that the group presented itself as representing Australian Christianity.

Of course it's all about power...who cares what others think! I mean look at the success the Anglican Church League has had as the representative voice of world Anglicanism!
