but stuff the gays... let them hang!
Reading Sydney Anglican bigotry and hypocrisy is like committing an act of self harm... or like standing in the middle of a highway and being run over by a semi trailer!
Then I met Nora. Nora lived in my freshman dorm and we had several classes together, so we began spending a lot of time together. My boyfriend encouraged the friendship... One day a few months later, however, a startling thought crossed my mind: “I’m in love with Nora.” ... That summer, we began what turned out to be a three-year affair. Nora and I chose to be roommates for my remaining two years of college...we periodically dated men while together...I never dated another woman after Nora, mostly because I never met another to whom I felt such a strong emotional attraction. The sexual attraction to women, however, never went away. I discovered that while I was still attracted to individual men, I was primarily attracted to women as a whole both sexually and emotionally.
Ooooh I bet the boys and girls at Anglican Mainstream found this article a bit of easy reading! I wonder...when Christian women dress up like me as a turn on, are their husbands sinning...or does the sin only occur if he starts to believe that I'm a third member in the sexual encounter. I know...let's ask sex expert, Mark Driscoll!

No I can't see the white-bellied heron but there's a few yellow-bellied creatures inhabiting the environment.
Hey dad this stuff is even better...
Yeah of course it's OK to offend a queer... Anglican clergy that intervene and correct bigotry, give the church a bad name! Clergy with good reputations must call the Archbishop of Canterbury a prostitute, Bishop Robinson shameless and ensure that the diocese loses $160 million gambling on the stock exchange! Is Peter Jensen of German descent?
What so Liberty Christian Ministries Inc is taking over where Narth, Exodus and the US evangelicals left off?
I'm so glad Haydn's bad relationship wasn't with a woman...he could have turned into an ugly misogynist! Now Haydn I know you don't advocate sexual orientation change, or guarantee ultimate healing and wholeness without Jesus Christ, or practise therapy, or evangelise the gay community or engage in political lobbying, (oh that one's a bit suss... LCMI being Anglican and all), do not advocate exorcisms, do not advocate and practise hug and touch therapy (no probs with that one with Sydney Anglicans involved)....but Haydn you say you help people get to the spiritual, emotional, and psychological roots of these issues and find victory in relational wholeness....sounds like therapy to me!

Oh come on ref really...you think that little rainbow coloured band as an expression of support for equal rights for GLBTI is controversial and offensive...then what about Margaret Court's words when she accused gay people of indulging in "abominable sexual practices" and described same-sex marriages, promoted by legislation introduced by the current Labor government in Australia, as "unhealthy, unnatural unions"...and don't forget how she cures gays and encourages them to marry heterosexuals... now that's an abomination!
And let's face it...GLBTI people are the homeless when it comes to the church!
Peter, is that the bit where it says..."To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? But you yourselves wrong and defraud—even your own brothers!"
I say Bugs did you read the comments section of Peter Ould's blog... Cerebusboy... "Peter, I wasn't saying you were wrong to take the initial action. In fact, the information you have supplied surely indicates that there are all sorts of occasions where it is legitimate for someone in the church to take legal action against someone else in the church, negating the narrow interpretation of 1 Corinthians 6 that is being used to condemn Jeffrey John's (apparent) possible actions. If it was moral and not unbiblical for you to take legal action against another Christian then why does the same standard not apply to John?"
Now let me see if I've got this right...The classical Biblical approach is to set yourself up as an expert on post-gay transition, without a medical degree, and then become defensive and use lawyers to threaten legal action, when an Anglican priest of 40 years uses a satirical blog, to express his concern for the welfare of GLBTI people within his church... but it's inappropriate for Jeffery John to sue because he is gay and the church condones bigotry?
Who told you that Fr David Heron took voluntary retirement and voluntary retirement always results in automatic suspension of a license for 6 months?
