Finally Liberal Anglicans stand up and say conservative Christians don't own Christianity...Welcome to 'A Progressive Christian Voice'...and not before time too!

Conservative Christian lobbyists do not speak for all people of the faith, according to the Brisbane Anglican leader heading a new progressive advocacy group. The Very Reverend Peter Catt, the Dean of St John's Cathedral, announced yesterday the creation of the new group called A Progressive Christian Voice (Australia). "It is the dominance of groups like the ACL that seem to be creating the idea that Christians are all of a particular mind" said Rev Catt.

The aim of the group is not to be in conflict with the Australian Christian Lobby, which often argued for conservative positions on issues such as gay marriage and surrogacy, but to ensure there are several Christian voices in public debates. Dr Catt said the group would lobby politicians and speak up for Christians who felt their opinions were not represented by the conservative religious lobbyists.

 “One of the main aims is just to get across to the general public that there's actually a diversity of views in the Christian community, that Christians' different opinions need to be part of the conversations we're having across the board,” he told brisbanetimes.com.au. “I guess we were a little concerned there's increasing tendency to see Christianity as monochrome” he said.

Moore College lecturer and founder of Liberty Christian Ministries Inc, David Peterson, will join Haydn Sennitt, when speaking at a conference about sexual orientation. These pseudo-medical professionals will shed scriptural and practical light on how same-sex attracted individuals are like evil Gollum. These heterosexual/post gay individuals will promote outmoded theories of sexual orientation and cures, eventhough Exodus has now declared that sexual orientation is inherent within the individual and psychiatrists no longer list same-sex attraction as a disorder.

It's hard to say Calam. They are both such manly specimens...and  I suppose they spread that loving pastoral care, that Sydney Anglicans are noted for, by telling gays to **** off if they can't change their sexual orientation because their is no such thing as same-sex attraction. Calam did you know gays are being punished for the fall of mankind, and blokes like David don't need punishimg as badly because they aren't sexually broken.


Truly...have you ever met madder people than these Sydney Anglicans...and  they reckon Jesus accepting his fate of death, is the basis of women submitting to men. The men I've seen are more like idols than God!
Oooh... and all proceeds gained from listening to these two intellectual giants goes to Liberty Christianity Ministries Inc to cover its financial losses and help promote Sydney Anglican bigotry.

Sydney Anglican, Sandy Grant, sees liberal Anglicans who believe in equality as carriers of infection...but he won't jump ship until bigotry no longer works as an antibiotic!

 

Sydney Anglican, Sandy Grant, says... Anyone in a mainline denomination infected by liberalism, or some other divergence from the evangelical faith, will have faced the question of when to stay or when to go? How bad does the denomination have to get before you decide to abandon ship?
Sandy poses these questions because the Bishop of Gippsland appointed a gay minister to a parish where people do not discriminate against gays. Sandy obviously believes that the Australian Anglican Church must remain a discriminatory institution, which exists ONLY for the likes of Sydney Anglicans, who are comfortable in preaching prejudice and intolerance.

Sandy goes onto say... Recently, this question came closer to home as an evangelical Anglican pastor in Australia, when a bishop in another diocese knowingly appointed a clergyman in an open same-sex relationship to charge of a parish. The matter was openly reported in the diocesan newspaper. (So the matter is public and I could provide links, but do not wish to give any oxygen to this bishop and his actions.)
It was actually Sydney Anglicans who gave oxygen to this bishop and his actions, when David Ould and the Anglican Church League called for the sacking of the gay clergyman... and because he hasn't been sacked, Sandy says... this unbiblical move somehow makes it even more embarrassing and difficult for evangelicals to be an Anglican in Australia than similar moves when they occurred overseas. After all, they were in entirely different continents, but this was in our own backyard, on our own familiar shores.

You know what I find embarrassing about being an Anglican in Sydney Bill... having people think that I condone :
1. the execution of  Ugandan GLBT people by supporting African bishops who are in favour of the 'Kill the Gay' bill
2. borrowing $260 million to lose in excess of $160 million on the stock exchange, and refraining from sacking those who oversaw the gamble
3.  condoning the existence of an organisation like Liberty Christian Ministries Inc, which aligns itself with groups who claim to cure same-sex attraction and promote heterosexual marriage as a means of attaining post-gay status.
4. preaching complementarianism which directly attributes to the mistreatment of women 

So Calam ... if Sandy is so embarrassed about infected liberal Anglicans polluting HIS church , then is he going to leave?

No Bill...he's taken solace from Bishop J. C. Ryle's wisdom  ...and come up with this rationale... "As for me, the Anglican flotilla is taking on water, but I am persuaded not to abandon my particular ship yet!"

David Ould quotes 2 Corinthians 12:10 after preaching with his fly undone ...Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Hey Mr Mean ...I wonder if all the threats, insults, troubles, persecutions and difficulties that gay Christians and their advocates have endured, has made them stronger in their belief of an inclusive Christ?

Miss Calamity... if a gay minister preached with his fly undone ...then I would have to call for his resignation because he would not be clothed in righteousness.
