Sydney Anglican, Sandy Grant, sees liberal Anglicans who believe in equality as carriers of infection...but he won't jump ship until bigotry no longer works as an antibiotic!

 

Sydney Anglican, Sandy Grant, says... Anyone in a mainline denomination infected by liberalism, or some other divergence from the evangelical faith, will have faced the question of when to stay or when to go? How bad does the denomination have to get before you decide to abandon ship?
Sandy poses these questions because the Bishop of Gippsland appointed a gay minister to a parish where people do not discriminate against gays. Sandy obviously believes that the Australian Anglican Church must remain a discriminatory institution, which exists ONLY for the likes of Sydney Anglicans, who are comfortable in preaching prejudice and intolerance.

Sandy goes onto say... Recently, this question came closer to home as an evangelical Anglican pastor in Australia, when a bishop in another diocese knowingly appointed a clergyman in an open same-sex relationship to charge of a parish. The matter was openly reported in the diocesan newspaper. (So the matter is public and I could provide links, but do not wish to give any oxygen to this bishop and his actions.)
It was actually Sydney Anglicans who gave oxygen to this bishop and his actions, when David Ould and the Anglican Church League called for the sacking of the gay clergyman... and because he hasn't been sacked, Sandy says... this unbiblical move somehow makes it even more embarrassing and difficult for evangelicals to be an Anglican in Australia than similar moves when they occurred overseas. After all, they were in entirely different continents, but this was in our own backyard, on our own familiar shores.

You know what I find embarrassing about being an Anglican in Sydney Bill... having people think that I condone :
1. the execution of  Ugandan GLBT people by supporting African bishops who are in favour of the 'Kill the Gay' bill
2. borrowing $260 million to lose in excess of $160 million on the stock exchange, and refraining from sacking those who oversaw the gamble
3.  condoning the existence of an organisation like Liberty Christian Ministries Inc, which aligns itself with groups who claim to cure same-sex attraction and promote heterosexual marriage as a means of attaining post-gay status.
4. preaching complementarianism which directly attributes to the mistreatment of women 

So Calam ... if Sandy is so embarrassed about infected liberal Anglicans polluting HIS church , then is he going to leave?

No Bill...he's taken solace from Bishop J. C. Ryle's wisdom  ...and come up with this rationale... "As for me, the Anglican flotilla is taking on water, but I am persuaded not to abandon my particular ship yet!"

Hey Mr Mean ...I wonder if all the threats, insults, troubles, persecutions and difficulties that gay Christians and their advocates have endured, has made them stronger in their belief of an inclusive Christ?

 S... S... S... S... S... S... S... S... S... S.... S... SINGLE!!!!  Sydney Anglican Evangelicals can't be single!  It's contrary to God's Creative Design...or as scientists call it ... reproduction. I mean singleness undermines the founding complementarian principles of Jensenism. I can't be an unwedded Sydney Anglincan... I might be labelled a homosexual or a pedophile!

Ennis...Sydney Anglicans reckon we're dysfunctional... and that marriage equality is a threat to society...well I don't know about you but I don't think I've ever come across people who are more closeted than this lot! It's like they live in a bubble! I think they're narrowmindedness and lack of diversity is a threat to our tolerant society.
What about Phillip Jensen's euphoria ... he nearly had an orgasm about the increase in  uni students ...he has visions of converting a higher percentage to Sydney Anglican homophobia and sexism. 

Liberty Christian Ministries Inc finished the year with a deficit of only $22,840 and if they punt their savings on the stock exchange the organisation might be able to extend that deficit to $160 million

Praise God for generous donors! Liberty Christian Ministries reached the end of the financial year with a deficit of only $22,840. Our expenditure was $83,509 and our income was $61,669, an increase of about $20,000 on the previous year. Many thanks to churches and individuals who supported us in this period.
The deficit is covered by drawing on our savings, but we can only do that for one more year and then the account will be empty! Are there generous friends who could help us pay for the deficit and start the new financial year with our savings account restored?
Our budget for 2012-13 includes a modest increase for wages and other employment expenses and so we are expecting to spend about $90,470. We will need an increase of about $30,000 to cover our costs.
Pray that God might stir many more to give sacrificially to this ministry and please consider whether you or your church could increase your giving in 2012-13. The most helpful way to do that is by regular payments into our Commonwealth Bank account number 1006 3361 (BSB: 062 257).

Ooooh Calam...hasn't Moore College's, David Petersen, been busy at LCMI ...ever since Alan Chambers denounced the effectiveness of sexual reoriention programs. I hear the Sydney Anglicans are orchestrating for LCMI to co-ordinate the ex-gay ministries in Sydney and implement homophobic resources within schools!

Evangelicals and opponents of marriage equality eat fried chicken as a way of displaying their prejudice

THOUSANDS of Americans have feasted on fried chicken in a politically-charged show of support for a family owned fast-food chain which opposes same-sex marriage. Chicken-fil-A' gives millions of dollars to Christian groups that vigorously campaign against marriage equality and the president of the company, Dan Cathy told a Baptist publication and a radio interview, that the United States is "inviting God's judgment" by recognising same-sex vows. However, in New Hampshire, where same-sex marriage is legal, a local Chick-fil-A franchise holder blazed his own trail by co-sponsoring the state's upcoming gay pride festival, LGBT advocacy group GLAAD said on its website.

And Anglican Mainstream is always implying homosexuality is abhorrent and same-sex marriage will be the destruction of the human race!
